1. Acceptance

By creating an account or installing the CTO.ai GitHub App, you agree to these terms. If you're accepting on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to do so.

2. What the service does

CTO.ai connects to your GitHub repositories through a GitHub App. It builds a per-repository digest (a structured description of what each repository is and how it is put together, citing the files it read), runs scheduled and on-demand checks that take a fresh snapshot of a repository and run deterministic analyzers over it, produces reports and suggested actions, and provides a CTO agent you can chat with. If you turn on pull-request review, it posts review comments on your pull requests. It can also suggest "state of the art" changes based on web research about the stack your digest declares and, when you approve an action, open pull requests in your repositories. Model calls go to Anthropic. See /privacy for what data we process and /llm-fallback for what reaches a model.

3. Acceptable use

• Don't try to extract or resell the digests, reports, engineering standard, or aggregated insights for anyone outside your workspace.
• Don't attempt to use the agent to generate content that violates law, Anthropic's usage policies, or third-party rights.
• Don't intentionally embed instructions in repositories, pull requests, or documents to manipulate the agent. Repository content is treated as untrusted data, and we may suspend accounts that attempt this.
• Don't use the service to scan repositories you don't have the right to connect.

4. Subscription + billing

Pricing tiers are published at ctoai.live/#pricing. The product does not yet include self-serve billing, plan changes, or cancellation; paid plans, trials, and cancellation are arranged by contacting hello@ctoai.live, and cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

Usage is subject to rate limits and model-spend ceilings that may change with notice.

5. Termination + data retention

You can request deletion of your account and workspace data at any time by emailing privacy@ctoai.live, and you can revoke the GitHub App installation at any time, which ends our access to your repositories. After a verified deletion request:

• Workspace data and derived artifacts (digests, reports, findings, transcripts) are deleted within 30 days.
• Usage and billing records (token counts, model costs, job timings) may be retained for accounting purposes for up to 24 months; they do not include repository contents.

6. Warranties

The service is provided "as is". We make no warranty that digests, check results, review comments, research suggestions, or the agent's answers are correct, complete, or fit for any particular purpose. They are advisory; you are responsible for decisions made based on them, including whether to merge any pull request the service opens.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability is limited to the greater of $100 and the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to liability.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.

9. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes get at least 30 days' notice via email to the address on file. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
